Sketchbook Assignment #1

For this assignment, I chose the prompt to draw a person or face from imagination or from observation. I wanted to represent the idea of grief through the use of pastel, an impermanent and easy to smudge medium just like gried is. I think that I would have gotten my point across better if I had spent more time on her facial expression, the colors of her clothes, and her body language.
