This is a photo of the latter we used to enter the ice caves in the Debsconeag Lakes Wilderness Area. I visited the wilderness area with my family, which happened to be a perfect opportunity to take some of my winter photos. This is my favorite photo from this project mostly because of the perspective and the lighting.
My original intention with this photo was all about the sunset, but I noticed how cold and wintery the setting looked and decided to photograph the bridge for the Signs of Winter Project. Since I wasn't planning on photographing for this assignment, I didn't bring my camera with me which would have made this photo a lot better because I could've slowed the shutter speed and better capture the movement of the water.
I found these dried-up, dead-looking flowers which made me think of winter. I liked how focused this photo came out because you can really see the detail, especially in the middle of the flowers. There was also a slight bit of frost but you can't really see it in the picture.
