Leading Lines
I took this photo off of my dad's lobster boat near the Cousins' Island bridge. The angle from below the bridge makes the lines of the bridge sharper. I chose to post this photo because there are some very obvious leading lines, which add a dramatic effect to the picture.
Framing
To make this photo, I used an opal ring to create a frame. I tried to blur out around the ring so only the inside/middle was clear. I got this idea because using the ring as a frame would make it look a lot larger than it is. Then I put it in the sun because I liked the way the reflection of the sun on the opal looked. I chose to post this photo because although it doesn't seem to frame a specific object, the object is the sand in focus.
Leading Lines
this photo shows vines wrapped around each other hanging from a tree. I found this in Littlefield Woods on Chebeague. When I took the photo, I made sure to zoom in on a specific branch to emphasize the length of the vines. I chose to post this photo because it shows that leading lines don't have to be straight.
Purpose: To continue to see things in a different way;
To continue to practice the compositional strategies: Framing & Leading lines.
