G Suite for education

Se trata de un paquete de servicios de la suite de Google basados en la nube, que permiten la edición colaborativa de documentos y la comunicación al instante desde cualquier dispositivo y lugar. Los profesores tienen la oportunidad de agilizar las tareas, potenciar el aprendizaje e incluso retar a sus alumnos para pensar de forma crítica.

This is a cloud-based service package from Google's suite, enabling collaborative document editing and instant communication anywhere from any device. Teachers have the opportunity to streamline assignments, enhance learning and even challenge their students to think critically.

Aplicaciones gratuitas/Free applications:

• Email/Correo Gmail: Se puede trabajar con un correo comunitario que ofrece 25 gigas de almacenamiento para cada usuario y un eficaz filtrado de spam, a la vez que facilita la creación de cuentas personalizadas con el dominio del colegio.

You can work with a community email that offers 25 gigas of storage for each user and effective spam filtering, while facilitating the creation of personalized accounts with the school's domain.

• Google Drive (Cloud): Esta herramienta otorga al colegio un espacio de almacenamiento para archivos y la opción de crear documentos de texto, hojas de cálculo, carpetas, presentaciones o formularios, que podrán ser compartidos entre los usuarios.

This tool provides the school with storage space for files and the option to create text documents, spreadsheets, folders, presentations or forms, which can be shared among users.

• Calendar/Calendario: La organización en el colegio está asegurada; horarios de clase, reuniones de claustro, eventos o consejos escolares, entre otros. Cualquier acontecimiento quedará anotado en el calendario, que hará las veces de agenda tanto para alumnos, como para profesores.

Organization is assured: class schedules, faculty meetings, events or school meetings, among others. Any event will be noted on the calendar, which will serve as an agenda for both students and teachers.

• Google Sites: Capacidad de crear páginas web interactivas sin la necesidad de tener conocimientos de programación o de HTML. Esta llamativa opción despertará el interés de los más pequeños, consiguiendo esa involucración y actitud participativa que se pretendía alcanzar.

Ability to create interactive web pages without the need for programming or HTML knowledge. This striking option will awaken the interest of the youngest, achieving involvement and participative attitudes.

• Apps/Otras aplicaciones: Documentos, Presentaciones, Hojas de Cálculo o Classroom. Son numerosas las aplicaciones que Google pone a disposición del colegio. Además, se podrán añadir otras desde el Panel de control del administrador: Picassa, Maps, Google Voice, navegador Chrome o Blogger, son algunas de ellas.

¿Cómo accedemos a G Suite?

Yago School facilita a cada alumno un email del Colegio que le permitirá unirse a Google Classroom y disfrutar del paquete de aplicaciones de G Suite. Los padres pueden revisar el trabajo de cada alumno utilizando el email de su hijo.

Para comenzar recomendamos a los alumnos que descarguen las aplicaciones en sus dispositivos Google Classroom, Google Docs, Google Sheets y Google Chrome para poder acceder a ella de forma más rápida y cómoda.

How do we access G Suite?

Yago School provides each student with an email from the school that will allow them to join Google Classroom and enjoy the G Suite application package. Parents can review each student's work using their children's email.

To get started, we recommend students to download Google Classroom, Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Chrome applications to their devices for a faster and more convenient access.
