20th-Marshall Baker Memorial Scholarship

Due: March 20th

Each year the Yadkin Valley Cruisers will award the Marshall Baker Memorial Scholarship to a graduating senior from Forbush High School, who demonstrates the qualities of Marshall; fun loving, giving, and determined. Scholarship amount of $300 will be awarded to one student for a period of one year.

 Criteria

Criteria for selection of the recipient will include the following:

·        Evidence of excellence in the school in both course selection and grades (2.5 GPA or better).

·        Evidence of completing 100 hours of community service during their 4 years as a high school student.

·        Evidence of involvement in extracurricular activities, community, and church. 

·        Evidence the student has already shown interest in and concern for being a contributing member of society.

The scholarship is available to students regardless of race, sex, national origin, religion, or handicap.
