14th-The Alford Family Golf Scholarship

Description

This scholarship is given in honor of the Alford Family and provides scholarship support to one male and one female varsity golfer who will continue to play at the NCAA Division II or III level.  

Consideration is given to the following verifiable and documented criteria:

- GPA and Class Rank.

- Quality of reference letters.

- Examples of an applicant’s ways of giving back to the game of golf besides playing the game.

- Leadership qualities with examples applicable to the applicant's team and as an individual.

- Examples of sportsmanship as a player and integrity as a person 

Application deadline: April 14th

Requirements

1. Senior varsity golf student-athlete participating at an NCHSAA member high school.

2. Must meet criteria as outlined above.

3. Student-athlete plan to attend an NCAA Division II or III member college or university and play on the varsity golf collegiate team (not club level team).

4. Student-athlete must complete graduation requirements in 2023 Spring semester from an NCHSAA member high school and plan to enroll, or already be enrolled, for the Fall 2023 semester in an accredited and recognized university, college, or community college anywhere in the United States.

5. Scholarship funds must be used for college/university expenses, including but not limited to: tuition, room, board, books/supplies, computer, meal plan, and/or fees.
