Methodology
Project-Based Learning (PBL)
For the following project, we used PBL methodology. We based our work, investigation, actions, and reflections on real-life facts, but also on problem-solving. 6th grade-students will work on this project around a driving question taken from a real life problem for an extended period of time.
Later, they will be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills referred to this topic and using English as a communicative language by developing a presentation for a real audience.
We want students who are able to:
Work on tasks independently, using preferred learning styles to enhance their comprehension.
Analyse, plan, reflect, evaluate and make informed decisions.
Generate and explore ideas
Find imaginative actions or proposals to explain real issues.
Collaborate in groups and learn to distribute roles and responsibilities to suit the strengths and capabilities of each member of the group.
And of course, get confidence by using English language as a communicative tool.
Apart from the Google Site of the project, we also used the Google Classroom platform to set challenges and as a tool for students to deliver their works.
