Displayed here is my third and final attempt at recreating Lampert's work, this time using seventeen images, as I knew I wanted to include a wider array of images. I'm very happy with this image, it includes all of my favourite shots of buildings and effectively creates the full image of a jumbled building. Clearly, there is a lot going on in this photo but believe that adds to the fun, chaotic nature of it.
Next time I would try to capture the edges of more buildings so that I could line the edges of the image with them to more effectively mimic a real life building.
Some of the shots used for the above piece.

This piece was created from four images layered with varying opacity. I am particularly pleased with the faux movement I have created here. I love the busy environment I think it's the perfect setting for a Legassick style photo, and the hustle and bustle has not failed to create an abundance of colour, shape and movement. When I look at this image my eye is especially drawn to the similar tones carried throughout, fluorescent yellows and bright oranges can be seen dotted around. The high angle I have taken my shots from is quite effective, I have been able to capture both the people on the floor and the stations glass roof. Although I am pleased with this final product I think that next time I would have liked to have used a lens with a wider width to be able to include more of the environment.
Market St, Central Manchester
F/: 10.0 ISO: 800 Custom black and white preset: Reds -132
Rochdale Canal, Oxford Road
f/16 ISO:3600
I am very happy with this photo, I think it successfully mimics the style Berenice Abbott has.
I took this shot in portrait which I think effectively captures the height and grandeur of the buildings on each side. The art deco structure in the back is reminiscent of the ones pictured by Abbott.
The direct sunlight at the top of the building in the background picks up the beautiful architecture. The streams of light across the left side of the photo reflected onto the canal water adds a level of depth. The bottom part of this photo is shaded creating a silhouette of a person on the bottom right.
The Midland Hotel, St Peters Square
f/8 ISO:100
This building is an iconic old building in Central Manchester, the perfect setting for a Berenice Abbott style shot. I love the angle from which I took this, off center diagonally to the building. I captured a sun flare as it was such a lovely sunny day. After editing the sky adds a distinct depth to the top half of the photo, I think the contrast between the building and the sky is my favourite part. I also love the tram lines that come towards the viewer, they almost pop out of the photo.
