This is where you see your 3D model
All painting and material changes update here in real time
You can change your camera angle in 3D space, this will be explained later
Shows all the texture sets (linked to material slots from your 3D model)
Lets you choose which part of your model you are painting
Works like Photoshop layers
Each layer can have paint, fill, masks or effects
You can reorder, group and blend layers
Shows options for the selected layer, brush, material or tool
Use it to adjust values like colour, roughness, metallic or scale
Stores all your resources, such as materials, smart materials, brushes, alphas, and generators
You can search and drag resources onto your model, layer, or mask
Lets you control brush size, flow, spacing, hardness, etc.
Also includes projection settings if you are painting with images.
Found next to the Layers tab
Defines channels (colour, height, metallic, roughness, normal, etc)
You can add or remove channels depending on what your project needs
Adjust environment lighting, shadows and post effects
Useful for checking how your textures look under different light conditions
To access go to Windows>>Views>>Display settings
If you are missing any of your viewports they can be accessed by going to:
Windows>>Views
Hold Alt + Left Mouse Button
Hold Alt + Middle Mouse Button (or wheel click).
Hold Alt + Right Mouse Button, or scroll with the mouse wheel.
Reset Camera
Press F to frame the selected mesh
Solo View: Hold Shift + click the eye icon on a layer to view only that layer
Toggle Wireframe: Press F1 to view mesh wireframe
Channel View: Press C to cycle through texture channels (Base Colour, Roughness, Normal, etc)
Material/Lighting Mode: Press M to return to full material view
Hide UI Panels: Press Tab to toggle all panels on or off for a clean view
