Welcome back Cougars! My name is Mr. Solis and I am your School Counselor. I am so excited for this school year especially since we are back to in-person instruction. This is my third year at TJMS and I absolutely love working with our students in preparing them for the future. I earned my graduate degree in School Counseling from California State University Bakersfield and earned my administrative credential from Fresno Pacific University. I am married to Dacia Solis and we have three beautiful children. I enjoy spending time with my family, drinking coffee, and golfing, even though I’m not good at it. I became a school counselor because I want to be the advocate, voice, and support system for all students.

My name is Mr. Perez and I am a third year ATS teacher here at Thomas Jefferson Middle School. I am married to an amazing woman, who I love and adore. I have 2 kids, a 6 year old son and a 7 month old. I enjoy working with students and helping them get through their educational journey. My belief is that Middle School students are caught in the “middle” of who they want to be and who they can possibly become. This is the age where students begin to make their own choices and navigate different career choices. It is my job to help keep students motivated and help them create a plan for success. ATS is not only an Alternative to Suspension; It is a second chance for all students who are looking for one.
