Literacy

Week of 9/28 Literacy Goals:

• Watch PA Video #3 "Wednesday's Lesson"

• Practice the first 45 high frequency words (add 10 more from last week). These are on the yellow sheet in your literacy folder. You should practice reading AND spelling these sight words until you know them by heart.

• Continue reading CVC and CCVC and CCVCC words in sentences AND paragraphs (short vowel sounds). This week we add in "glued" or "welded" sounds ALL, AM and AN.

• Read 20 minutes per day and log your reading in your slides.

• Read (or listen to) a book about why leaves change color in the fall. Be ready to discuss in our morning meeting on Friday.
