Weber State University offers the option for high school students to receive a Certificate of Completion indicating that they have fulfilled all General Education requirements for Weber State University. This is a great option for students who are not sure what program they would like to study but do want to get ahead in college credits. Students will complete around 27-30 college credits, a minimum of 10 credits being from Weber State University. Students will also need to maintain a minimum of 2.0 GPA in order to qualify.
The general studies handout below outlines all of the General Education requirements and course options that fulfill those requirements. Classes taught at Innovation High School have been highlighted for your convenience. If you would like to obtain your Certificate of Completion, you MUST meet with your high school counselor as well as a Weber State University CE Advisor!!! All credits earned must be verified by a Weber State representative before being approved to meet Certificate requirements.
Please avoid misadvising yourself and meet with a Weber State representative early and often while planning out college class options.
Weber State University offers the option for high school students to receive an Associate Degree indicating that they have fulfilled all General Education requirements as well as elective credit requirements. This is a great option for students who are sure what their program of study is going to be and can put electives towards prerequisites for that program. Students who take elective credits without knowing their program of study may end up needing to take additional classes to meet prerequisites which could affect scholarships or financial aid options. If you are not sure whether an Associate Degree is the right fit for you, reach out to your counselor.
Students who would like to obtain an Associate Degree should be doing 1-2 college classes starting 10th grade and then 3-5 college classes each semester for 11th and 12th grade. A minimum of 60 college credits are required, with at least 20 of those credits being from Weber State University. Students will also need to maintain a minimum of 2.0 GPA in order to qualify.

This document shows all of the classes that Weber State accepts towards General Education credits. Highlighted classes are CE classes that are offered at Weber Innovation High School. Your boundary high school may offer different CE classes. This document will be updated by Weber State University every school year.
All college degrees/paths need to be signed off by Weber State University. If you are planning on obtaining a Certificate of Completion or an Associate Degree through Weber State, please meet with a Weber State Advisor to confirm your plans.

Apply to be a Weber State CE Student (if you have not already done so).
Set an appointment with a Weber State CE Advisor.
Print an unofficial high school transcript and your current student course schedule.
