What will I learn in grade 9 Science?

In the grade 9 year, students focus on 4 main strands of science:

Chemistry,

Physics,

Earth and Space Science

and Biology.

What is Destreamed Gr 9 Science?

The destreamed Grade 9 Science course (SNC1W) was released in the Spring of 2022 and is available for educators and parents on the Curriculum and Resources website. This course replaced Grade 9 Academic Science (SNC1D) and Grade 9 Applied Science (SNC1P).

Which Science courses are offered @ SSS?

After Gr 9, you have lots of options of science courses that you could take. Consider the graphic to the left, to see all of the pathways that you could take. We also offer Gr 11 & 12 Earth and Space Science courses, but they are delivered through the Geography Department.

What is Science like for students @ SSS?
