Fed Prov is an annual simulation of the Federal Provincial meetings that is held at WLU over the course of two days. 15 high schools and over 350 students participate annually.
"My two years participating in the FedProv club helped me to meet like-minded students and develop a passion for politics that I will carry with me in life. This club was definitely one of the highlights for me during my time at SSS !"

"My experience with history and humanities courses has been wonderful; I love the sense of community and the level of interaction within the classroom; you're so engaged constantly! My advice to students taking these courses is be bold and confident! The more you open your mind and question things, the more you'll find yourself learning in the end."

"My favourite topic from Gr. 10 history was WWl. I had a lot of fun learning about this topic and could let my imagination run wild with the letter we did for this unit. Some of the skills you learn are: to look at both sides of the coin, to have an open heart and open mind, how to do good research, and how to write a Gr. 10 level essay. I learned so much about history and now have an interest in history thanks to our Gr. 10 history class!"
- ND, grade 10
"As a grade 11 student, history was never something I thought I was interested in. After pushing myself to try something new, I was able to connect the dots about so much family history which became so fascinating! I was able to understand my Grandmothers experiences of being born in Europe during the Second World War. History is also relevant to today as I learned in Crimes Against Humanity how it ties directly to Black Lives Matter, this is a huge cause in the world today. History is not just a reflection on the past, it can be a great predictor for the future."

"My favourite thing from Grade 10 History was definitely learning about WWI and WWII! It was a lot of fun, and we got to learn some really cool things regarding all of the battles that took place. You also get to interact with peers in debates, which was a great experience - it was dope to be able to debate with classmates! Definitely a great course!" -BB, grade 10
"Civics was a great class! I learned so much and realized that this course was one of the most important ones for our everyday lives. It was overall fun and I wish it was longer!" O.K, grade 10
