The wish realization phase happens when the anticipated arrival of the wish is here. The wish child is prepared and ready to enjoy/participate in his/her wish.

Attention to detail must be made to achieve a successful wish day.

The wish anticipation phase is separate from the wish realization phase.

SURPRISES

The way we look at the wish design and wish anticipation phases implies that the wish child and family will be involved and prepared for the wish.

We all know the value of surprises during the wish experience.

The wish anticipation phase doesn’t have to mean that there can’t be surprises anymore!

INVOLVEMENT OF CORPORATE SUPPORTERS/PARTNERS

With the Wish Journey, there are many more options to involve corporate partners outside of wish realization.

It is important to remember that we as Make-A-Wish must stay in control of the wish granting. Make-A-Wish grants wishes and corporate partners make them possible.

Corporations would not allow us to perform their core business, so why would we allow corporations to perform our core business?

Involve corporate partners in making the wish design (good team-building experience); team(s) should be coached by experienced wish granters/wish granting staff.

Invite the corporate partners to have a role in the wish anticipation phase or wish realization phase.
