Modules page--This "overview" page summarizes the modules for the particular course, and "under" this page are separate pages for each of the course modules. Three semester credit hour courses tend to have about 4 to 7 modules, 4 semester credit hour courses tend to have 8 to 10 modules, and 5 semester credit hour courses tend to have 10 modules and sometimes more.
Under the overview module page, there are a number of sub-pages under that page--one page for each of the modules.
Each module page typically gives an overview of what the module is about, a list of several to a half dozen module learning outcomes (which are always also related to the course learning outcomes), and the assignments for that module--typically a few articles or chapters to read, sometimes a video to watch, and a semi-structured two-page or so reflective writing assignment. [A new option for WISR MFT students is that faculty will allow the student to propose one article, and/or one video, in module--to substitute for one or two of the three readings to be chose from the list of options.] In the reflective writing assignment, you are generally asked to discuss what you found to be especially interesting and valuable about two or more of the assigned readings, and you are expected to write two to three sentences on what you learned in relation to each of the module learning outcomes.
Again, these are generalizations and there are some exception to these themes. For example, thesis and dissertation "courses" are really guides for how to do a thesis or dissertation, and instead of "modules" there is a list of "key ingredients" on the the various pages for doing a thesis.
