How to Groom Long-Haired Dogs
Long-haired dogs have minimal undercoat and no noticeable shedding. Their hair is fine and silky. This coat type is prone to matting behind the ears, in the armpits, on the back of the dog's legs, in the sanitary area and on the tail. The coat is maintained by detangling and combing. Most long-haired pet dogs get their hair trimmed every 6 - 8 weeks.
