Willington Prep - Celebrating 140 years - 1885-2025
It has been wonderful to return to school and see the children enthusiastically engaging with their new Art projects. I have enjoyed hearing their tales of Christmas with families and celebrating in the New Year. We have started our new projects, and the children have already created some brilliant artwork, ranging from Year 5 pupils drawing caterpillars to Reception classes designing rockets. It has been wonderful to see the Year 6 pupils complete their Design Technology projects, with some truly creative outcomes all around!
I am excited to see the artwork that the children will create this year. It is a joy to see their skills and confidence with a range of materials continue to grow. This term, I look forward to welcoming Year 3 and Year 4 to the new Creative Space club each Tuesday and Year 5 and 6 to the Art Masters club each Thursday after school!
Warm regards,
Miss Beere
Head of Art
Please can you remind your children to bring an art shirt or apron to their art lesson, so as to protect their clothes from paint.
