The term Blended Learning refers to a blend of face-to-face instruction (school-based learning) and online (distance) learning. It is important that children and parents know how to access all of the online learning as there may be times that you will need to access online learning for your education.
Distance learning and school-based learning should complement each other and be driven by a single curriculum which is underpinned by good quality teaching and learning. It is important that when children spend some time face-to-face and some time at home, that as a school we ensure children can access a broad and balanced curriculum.

There may be a time where you have to stay at home and carry out distance learning. Your teacher will schedule live learning sessions to keep in contact with you and talk about your learning. Your teachers will be setting weekly online homework via MyMaths. Here is a how to guide to show you how to log in, how to complete any homework and where all the other games are for you to play to practice your maths skills.
You may need to access J2Easy for home activities. This explains how you access J2Easy via Hwb. This will let you get to a range of activities to complete at home. They can practice spellings, timetables and compete against children from other schools.
You will need to access class dojo to communicate with your class teacher. You can download the app to your phone or Ipad. Mrs Doyle explains in this video how to upload work, photos and messages to your class teacher. *All passwords you see in this video have now been changed.
You are able to quiz at home too. Children will be coming home with books from school. When they have read them they can quiz at home. Here Mrs Morgan explains how to log into AR Reader Quiz when the children have finished reading their chosen book.
If you want you can use your Xbox or Play Station to access work online! Just follow the simple steps to access Hwb and you'll be able to use your Xbox or Play Station for work.
