Please note that ALL of the images here are of "unfinished" scrolls except one. My display of these scrolls are and will always be unfinished, as all the scrolls I have designed and created are intended for display with black ink signatures and a big red seal - or two in some cases.
The following scrolls are missing pieces and they look unfinished and unprofessional. Because they are. I apologize, as I didn't realize the reality of making award scrolls one's Art Form in the SCA was to never have finished art to display.

An original artwork based on The Bible of Peter Grillinger, purchased for three hundred gulden in 1435 by Peter Grillinger himself when he became the Pastor of Mariapfarr. It was presumably crafted and bound thereabouts that time in Salzburg. More documentation will be on it's portfolio page, of which I am still in the process of authoring.
This piece was made with M.Graham Artist’s-quality Gouache on Pergamenata Vellum. It is 11x14" and was painted using a Kaelish Kolinsky Sable 3/000 brush and Windsor and Newton oak gall medium. Calligraphy pen is a Pilot Parallel pen and Noodler’s Heart of Darkness – Archival, water resistant and lightfast to the highest degree possible, its the best ink ever made. Pure 23k Blattgold gold leaf and Instacol for the gilding.
This picture is presented at a larger than life-sized resolution for your perusal. The original piece is 11x14" and was made in 2020. This photograph is an excellent highlight of the gouache shading and moisture control technique for which I am known.
An original artwork on parchment made in 2019 in a collaboration with Mistress Danaë FitzRoberts with a crazy deadline of only 2 weeks from start to finish. This is an early-period award scroll using period symbolism and pigment hues. I took the colors I chose for the scroll from an archeology study on period pigments used in the 10th century, and utilizing award themes used by the Society of Creative Anachronism.
My display of this scroll is unfinished, as it, and all other scrolls I have designed and created are intended for display with signatures and a big red seal - or two in this case. It's missing pieces and it looks unfinished, because it is. Unfortunately, neither the recipient nor the signators honored a request for a final photograph. This is the best I can do. My apologies.
