The quickest way for students to record or upload their video and share it with their instructor (submit the video project) is to follow these featured Student Major Project Instructions (Short Version).
YuJa is the USG eCampus licensed recording and streaming platform for faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students to publish and manage videos.
Users can record right from within their course or record elsewhere and upload. Multiple sources can be recorded all at once and integrated into a single video (screen + webcam, screen only, webcam only, or audio only recordings).
All items are stored in your own personal Yuja Media Library. Items can be shared inside our outside the course.
There are collaboration, commenting, editing, automatic and quizzing features all available also right within your course. Quizzes can be self-evaluations or graded.
Instructors are provided with automatic-captioning and detailed analytics.
Use this guide to get started with using YuJa in your courses located on GoVIEW (http://go.view.usg.edu)
Login to your eCore or eMajor course on GoVIEW.
Open any course from the My Courses widget
Click Communications from the course navigation menu
Select YuJa (My Media)
Navigate to the YuJa media library
Click Manage Media
Click Upload
Click Browse or drag and drop the media file inside the box
Add tags, adjust publish settings, or manage captions next to the Action section of the window
Click Start Upload
Wait until the progress bar finishes and reads ‘Finished Uploading’ before closing the browser tab or window.
IMPORTANT NEXT STEP FOR SUBMITTING AN ASSIGNMENT, A MAJOR PROJECT, OR SHARING YOUR VIDEO WITH YOUR INSTRUCTOR OR OTHERS IN THE CLASS. You are not done. You will still need to scroll down in order to follow the instructions, to submit your Major Project. Scroll down and use one of these options below: Students: Submit Video for the Major Project (Summary) instructions or Copy the URL for a Video, to share the video URL
Option 1: use YuJa's Browser Capture for the fastest, easiest recordings
Option 2: use Yuja's Software Capture Application which offers more customization and control of the recording process, such as the ability to pause while recording.
Browser Capture Studio is a fast way to record videos using Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge. Browser Capture simplifies the process of recordings and supports screen + webcam, screen only, webcam only, or audio only recordings.
Navigate to the YuJa media library
Click Create Recording located at the top center of the interface
Click the drop down menu
Select Record with Browser Capture Studio
Type a title for the video
Click Start
Click Allow on the browser permission prompts for webcam and microphone
Select Recording Option for either Camera, Screen, or Both
For screen recording options, Select the screen source from the drop down menu that appears
Click Allow (Firefox) or Share (Google Chrome & Microsoft Edge)
Click Start Recording
Click the Stop button located at the bottom of the recording tab when finished
Click Upload
Wait until all progress bars reach 100% before closing the tab

Software capture is available for OSX and Windows computers. YuJa Software Capture offers more customization and control of the recording process, such as the ability to pause while recording.
Install YuJa Software Capture Before Recording
For Windows and OSX only
Navigate to the YuJa media library
Click Create Recording located at the top center of the interface
Click Download. YuJa will automatically download the correct file based on the computer operating system
For windows computers, Click Save File. For Mac computers, Click OK
Locate the installation file
Open the installation file
Follow the installation prompts
Once YuJa Software Capture is Installed, Begin Recording
Navigate to the YuJa media library
Click Create Recording located at the top center of the interface
Click Start
For windows computers, Click Open Link. For Mac computers, Click Choose Application
Type a title for the video in the text bar located at the top center of the application
Configure the desired webcam, screen, and audio settings
Click Start in the bottom right corner of the application
Click the Stop button when finished with the presentation
Click Save
Wait until all progress bars reach 100% before closing the application

If you are uploading video already captured elsewhere or recording right within the course, follow the Upload or Record instructions, as well as other steps on this Yuja Quickstart Guide.
In the Assessments menu in GoVIEW, select Assignments and navigate to the assignments folder for your project.
Be sure to upload a photo of your ID and any other required documents for your project by selecting the Add Files button.
To submit your YuJa video, scroll down to the Comments section and select the Insert Stuff button (looks like play, pause, record, and stop icons).
In the pop-up window, select YuJa Media Chooser.
Select the video you want to add and then select Insert Content.
In the Preview window, confirm you have selected the correct video and then select Insert.
You should now see your video embedded in the comments box. Once the video is embedded and you have uploaded any other required materials, Submit your project.
Navigate to the YuJa Media Library
Hover the mouse over a video
Click on the More button from the pop up menu
Click Links from the side menu of the window
Click the Copy Link icon next to the direct link. This is the link you can share with your Instructor.
Click on the Insert Stuff button located in any text editor located in GoView (whether in a Discussion, Assignment text box, etc.)
Select YuJa Media Chooser
Click on a video within the pop up window
Click Insert Content
Review the selection is correct
Click Insert
Open the desired course on CourseDen
Click Content from the course navigation bar
Click on the corresponding module for the video
Click Existing Activities
Select Insert YuJa Video
Click on the video to post from the list
Click Insert Content
Preview the chosen video
Click Insert
Instructors: Privacy Settings (share edit rights, etc.)
Note: By default, privacy settings are set to Public. This setting allows for easy sharing within and outside of your course om GoVIEW. Refer to the Video Privacy Settings for guidance on adjusting settings if you wish to limit access.
Navigate to the YuJa Media Library
Hover the mouse over a video
Click on the Share button from the pop up menu
Type the name of a person to share with
Click on the name from the list
Continue to add the desired number of people
Click on the drop down menu
Select the amount of access from Full Access, Edit Access, or Read Only
Click Share
Verify the names under the Who Has Access area
Click Save
