Videos are presumed to be in English and captions are automatically processed based on the audio track. If there is a need for a video to be in a language other than English, then YuJa supports adding caption files in another language.
Note: YuJa does not have every language available in the list from the caption menu.
Navigate to YuJa through GoView
Hover the cursor over a video to reveal the menu
Select Edit
Click the Closed Captions (CC) button to reveal a Captions panel
Make adjustments by editing text and/or adding captions.Â
Use the magnifying glass button to help jump to specific words
Click Save when done
Note: If ONLY the captions were adjusted, then we recommend selecting Replace Existing Video.
Note: YuJa supports SRT, XML, or WebVTT formats for captions.
Navigate to YuJa through GoView
Hover the cursor over a video to reveal the menu
Select More
Click Accessibility from the side panel
Click Upload
Select Captions
Click the dropdown menu
Select the language of the captions file
Click Browse or drag-and-drop a caption file inside the box
Once the upload is complete the window will close automatically
Click Save Accessibility
Note: Captions should process automatically for all videos published by faculty and staff.

Click Accessibility
Click Auto Caption
Click Send Caption Request
