There are many models of technology integration, but all aim to help students supercharge their learning by removing barriers, increasing available resources, and helping them apply their learning. The most important feature of any technology integration model is that tech isn't used for the novelty, but because it truly can improve student learning outcomes.
Blended/Personalized learning takes elements of live, in classroom learning and online learning (either live or asynchronous) and combines them to form blended learning where students interact and engage with their learning in a flexible way that best matches their needs. It can be used in a variety of situations and applications.
SAMR is a model to view blended learning and modern instruction through. It is a tiered scale where technology use is viewed through the changes it provides in learning. It begins with Substitution, where technology is simply used in place of an existing strategy, and ends with Redefinition, where technology is used to accomplish new ways of learning and interacting with content that would not have been possible without technology.
