Instructional Strategies

Students are successful when teachers can build strong relationships, provide engaging lessons, and give good feedback to students that helps them improve. The ways in which do this are constantly evolving. To learn more about instructional strategies and ways of building a better school experience for students, the Instruction and Technology Department is focusing on the following strategies that align with Westerville City School's goals and vision for student learning. 

• Portrait of a Graduate: Westerville City Schools' vision for student learning

• Standards Based Learning: A framework to approach learning and support the Portrait of a Graduate

• Grading Practices: A examination of the philosophies and structures behind grading practices

• Blended Learning/SAMR: Approaches to integrating technology into the classroom in meaningful ways

• Presentations: Presentations by the Instruction and Technology team as well as curated presentations and items from conferences and other opportunities.
