Pink October
Learning Outcomes:
1. Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience.
2. Demonstrate the skills and recognise the benefits of working collaboratively.
3. Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process.
One of the events I was part of when the 'Brest Cancer Awareness'. This was held on a wednesday. The members of this club all made bows out of pink ribbons (like in the picture above) and we all took shifts to handing them out. We handed some out in the morning before kids got to school, then some during recess, and more during lunch. Some of the kids were confused as to what they meant. A little girl in grade three asked me what it meant, and I when I explained it to her in simple terms she was eager to wear the pink ribbon and she wanted to wear more.
