This being my second ServICE conference I in a way knew how it was going to work. The first conference I went to was three days long, this was two days long. The first time around we had service trips, this time around we didn't. Something that excites me about ServICE is that everyday is something new. You get to interact with people who have similar interest and we learn so much about others experience. Not being able to go on a trip this time was sad but it was still a successful conference I believe. Because of this conference I was able to appreciate everything I have in life. After a workshop about refugees I was able to talk to one, to better understand his situation and his experience and I learned so much about how hard he has it and how easy I have it. After talking to him I started disliking the legal system because although they have laws put in place for refugees I don't believe it's enough. This conference allowed me to engage with people like myself and learn about issues that are ongoing around the world.
