Thai Children Development Foundation (TCDF).

CAS learning outcomes:

1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth

2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process

6: Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance

Over the last couple of months, I had the opportunity to work with the Thai Children Development Foundation (TCDF). The TCDF foundation is a non-profit based in Thailand. I became one of their first ‘youth ambassadors.’ I worked with this foundation for over three months, and gained amazing knowledge and experience. Due to not being able to physically go to their foundation located in Pak Song (Thailand), I did some work online. I had the responsibility of creating a pitch presentation for the foundation. The process itself was quite simple. I was able to work at my own pace and had weekly meetings with my mentor. I created the presentation in around 2 weeks time, then turned it into a video and posted it on their platforms. Additionally, I also gathered data on brands they could possibly send their pitch to. Despite not being able to be there, I still learnt a lot from this experience. One of my biggest learning outcomes was time management. Due to this project not having a ‘due date,’ I needed to figure out how to manage both school work and this project at the same time. I really enjoyed this project and learnt a lot from this.
