1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process
One fun activity that I did for creativity at home during my 2nd quarantine in Thailand was to try out napkin art. Napkin art is basically peeling off layers of decorative napkins and gluing them on clothing or bags and basically putting varnish over them so that they can actually be worn out. I did this because I was tired of only doing water coloring at home and I really needed a break from work in general but our gyms were closed because of Covid-19. So I had to think of a new way to keep myself busy and basically creating decorative tote bags was one way that I thought of. Through this method, I learned that creative ability can be done by anyone and it's open for interpretation. This was a good experience for me because it was a new medium that I was trying out in the field of Art. I had my mom who was more experienced and she honestly let me do whatever I wanted to the bag and it was one way that I could only show my creativity since the bag had no borders. I also had many designs available to me but since my bag was from my club at school which helps cats in need, I decided to go for a butterfly design that represented nature and animals. The floral patterns were just a pretty addition that I made to my bag and I think it turned out pretty well considering it was my first time doing it. if anyone wants to make a napkin art you are open to watching my video since I made a tutorial for the school's YouTube channel.
