Education is also a big contributor to ticks and Lyme Disease. This is because not many people know enough about ticks and Lyme Disease. If people knew more about Lyme disease, we would know not to jump in leaves, and not stroll around in tall grasses, which ticks love to hide in. If they do jump into the leaves they will most likely get ticks which is the opposite of what we want to do. We want people to learn about how ticks can be avoided, and to even save one person from getting a terrible disease. We, as people, would be a lot safer in the world if we would be more cautious about where ticks are. This is why we are telling you about this; so that you are safer and know what to do when you come across a tick. Dr. Richard Ostfeld, a professional scientist for ticks and Lyme Disease said, “The best way to reduce the spread of Lyme Disease is to educate people about it.” We agree!
