Climate Change

Have you heard of Climate Change? Probably. But do you know that it actually contributes to ticks and Lyme Disease? Climate change contributes to this problem by birds traveling to other places with the ticks on them. Ticks love warm weather and hate cold weather. Same thing with birds! So if it gets warmer, and this lucky tick grabbed onto a bird, the bird also likes the warmth. So the bird flies over to the warmer climate, with the tick on it, and now, the tick is in that place! That place could be super cold, but because of the global warming, it could be a good place for ticks soon! So don’t create global warming! Ticks aren’t the only creatures that go to warm places to survive… birds do too!
