The best way to contact me is by email. I prioritize messages from students. If you are a student, you can email me anytime you have a question or problem, including after school hours. I reply to messages from students as soon as I can.
If you are not a student, I will do my best to respond to your email the same day. If I receive it after school or during the weekend, I may not reply until the next school day.
If the matter is urgent, please call the main office at the number above and they can forward your call to my classroom.
I grade using Standards-Based Grading. Learn more here

Back when I had more hair on top
and less in back
For nearly 30 years, I said to myself "Gee, I'd really like to try teaching." A few years ago I started substitute teaching. My biggest regret? That I didn't start sooner. I have my Massachetts DESE License in Math and ELA, and am currently teaching 6th grade math in a hybrid classroom in Wellesley.
I live in Waltham with my wife Alice. My daughter Mary is in 11th grade at BB&N. Stepdaughter Lucie is a climbing instructor in Colorado, while her sister Caroline is a hotshot consultant in New York City.
