Mathematical practice standards describe aspects of an approach to math that math educators try to develop in their students. These standards remain consistent in all years: students may not recognize the wording of the standards, but you have been hearing the ideas since kindergarten! Eight MP standards are evaluated alongside skill standards during the year.
