Not knowing the rules will not prevent consequences for breaking them

When You Arrive

Arrive ON TIME (in class or on Zoom). If you do not tell me ahead of time or bring a pass from a teacher you will be marked absent for that day (or just tardy if you remind me at the end of class)

Arrive PREPARED with all of your materials (you will not be allowed to retrieve them until the first 10 minutes of class have passed. Anything you miss as a result of being unprepared is YOUR responsibility to make up outside of class time.

While You're Here

Use Common Sense. Before you do or say something, think:

• Does it contribute to what Mr. Randolph/my group/I am trying to achieve in class?

• How would my parent judge my decision?

• If I need to remind you more than once to stay on task,
  I will send you a reminder, copying your parents, of why you are in my class.

Assignments

All Assignments

• Always, always, ALWAYS make sure assignments are marked as done in Google Classroom

• On the other hand, DO NOT mark assignments as done if you have not completed the work

• If I determine you have violated this policy, it will result in a meeting with you and your parents and you will forfeit the opportunity to improve your grade for that unit.

"Due Before Next Class"

Most of the time, our work this year will be done in class. Some of the time, it will not.

• Sometimes you will not finish work started in class. Always assume the work is due before our next class. Do not ask me if you need to finish.

• Sometimes I will determine you would benefit from additional practice. This additional work is not optional.

• Assignments are due on the specified date. If you do not turn in an assignment without letting me know (before it is due), you will receive a zero for that assignment. If you have more than two missed assignments, I will need to meet with you and your parent(s).

• Sometimes I will assign additional work in Khan Academy to the class. These required assignments will be listed in Google Classroom with due dates that may or may not match the date in KA. You will see other assignments in KA that are NOT in Google Classroom are optional, but think very hard before you tell me you failed to do an assignment in Khan Academy "because you didn't think it was required."
