Attendance Policy
To maximize learning opportunities, students are expected to attend all scheduled classes and follow their programs every day.
Students accumulating seven (7) or more absences in any single course per marking period, and/or sixteen (16) or more absences throughout the academic year, must participate in a mandatory attendance review.
During this review, the justification for excessive absences will be evaluated based on submitted documentation, such as medical excuses. If the appeal is denied, the student will fail all courses for that marking period or the entire year, as applicable.
For half-year (semester) courses, absence thresholds are halved. For example, students cannot exceed 8 absences in a semester course.
Academic and disciplinary consequences for all excused and unexcused absences will adhere to the adopted board policy.
