Opening hours will be announced closer to the event.
Yes! The Media Village is a workspace for all journalists attending the event, with press conference facilities and bookable private interview booths where journalists can interview speakers.
A media reception desk is situated at the entrance of the Media Village. Our media success team is stationed there throughout the event to help you with any media-related queries or requests you might have.
Think of our media team as an extension of your in-house communications team or PR agency. We work closely with the journalists and broadcasters attending Web Summit, and we know what they want from a story. We can help to arrange one-to-one interviews and press briefings, and can distribute your press release on the dedicated Web Summit media portal.
Journalists are interested in exclusives and in stories they can’t get anywhere else. So focus on:
Significant company announcements including investments and/or jobs
An innovation, or new product or service
A new partnership
An acquisition or merger
A report or white paper

All media attendees have the opportunity to request interviews with the speakers attending Web Summit. This is facilitated via the Meetings function on our web app and the Web Summit app.
More information on this process can be found on our Networking page here.
We have a dedicated press conference facility onsite at Web Summit, located in the Media Village.
The press conference area is operational every day of the event. Press conferences are typically scheduled to take place shortly after a speaker’s main appearance on stage.
The press conference area is managed and staffed by Web Summit's media team, with each 30-minute press conference slot allocated on a first come first served basis.
Each press conference involves an introduction to assembled media by the Web Summit media team, followed by a brief statement or comment from the speaker before opening up to the floor to questions from the media.
To schedule a press conference, contact the speaker success team. The final decision on hosting press conferences is at the sole discretion of Web Summit’s media team.

If you’re announcing something newsworthy at Web Summit, why not provide us with a press release that we can distribute to members of the media at the event? This will be hosted on our media portal, which all media representatives visit during the event to discover the latest news announced during Web Summit.
Hosting a press release on our media portal creates a unique URL that can be shared with your wider network and posted on your company’s social channels.
You can upload your press release via the dedicated media announcements form that the success team emailed to you during onboarding.
Our media team will then review your press release and ensure that it meets all the requirements outlined on the form. If any changes are necessary, we'll get in touch. You'll be notified by email before the event when the press release has been uploaded to the media portal.
