Well, for one thing, it's how you access your ticket for registration, so you really can't come to the event without it!
Aside from that, our in-house built software helps power your event experience.
The Web Summit app lets you connect with attendees, set up meetings, check out the hottest startups, and add the top talks to your personal schedule – all in one place.
As a speaker, your profile is preloaded with basic personal information.
If your headshot or profile information needs to be updated at any point, you can do this yourself directly via the app.
Select the topics you’re most interested in hearing about, and the areas of expertise you can share knowledge on with your fellow attendees. This’ll help us connect you with the right attendees and suggest other talks at the event that we think might interest you.
Sure! But be aware that we use the headshot from your profile on our website and in marketing to advertise your attendance and your talk. So high-quality headshots matter. Make sure you follow our profile headshot guidelines.
All speaker headshots must be:
Taken straight-on, not from the side
Including head and shoulders
Cropped as a square (please avoid circular/porthole formats)
1,000 x 1,000 pixels minimum
Preferably in colour, rather than monochrome/black and white

You can view your personalised schedule in the app at any time.
Any talks you save, or meetings and activities you arrange via the app will automatically appear in your personal schedule.
Is there a speaker, investor or startup you’d really like to meet? Why not start a conversation?
Navigate to the Discovery section of the app, and search for their profile. Tap on Connect, and you’ll be able to chat.
Prefer a more serendipitous approach? Join a Meetup. "Meetups" are a selection of curated and intimate community gatherings that create wider networking opportunities for our attendees.
Of course! Follow these steps:
Make sure you have the most updated version of the mobile app.
Open the app and enter your login email or ticket reference.
Click 'Log in'.
Check your inbox for an email from us with a single-use authentication link (it might be in your Spam folder).
If you don't receive the authentication link email...

Enter both your ticket reference and your email address.
Click 'Log in'.
That should do the trick!
