Open Access to Instruction
Our Research Zone is not just a hub of links to databases and tools. It is also a collection of flipped instruction tutorials on research, tech tools, formatting, and more. When we see a need, we create it or organize it; often teachers request thematic resources, so we collate pathfinders on the Research Zone to give students easy access to quality materials.
Library Media Studies elective
We run our class using the 4C's as the foundation. We switched how we run this class in the spring of 2018, treating it like an internship with on-the-job evaluations, embraced formative vs. summative assessments, and empowered students to run our Literacy Week through a research-based PBL. We were thrilled with the results and have turned our fall semester into a computer science PBL.
Spreadsheet with Resources Linked
We have always co-taught lessons on anything from research to literacy to technology, but this year, we are so busy that we had to put it all in a digital document with our resources attached. I am really proud of the work we've done this year with research, digital portfolios, and our freshman orientations. We love supporting our teachers as we can be an additional expert for students to know and use.
