Digital portfolios are something that we have fully embraced in the Learning Commons. We have provided whole school staff professional learning multiple times, presented on it at Convergence, continue to give regular support through co-teaching and resources, and have completely changed our assessments for Library Media Studies to follow the portfolio model. We are thrilled with the results of our student portfolios. Their reflections have not only helped them face their learning and recognize the skills they have gained from our class, but they have also helped us improve the class. As such, we are currently rewriting the Library Media Studies curriculum for the county to incorporate many of the principles of digital portfolios.
