Book Circulation - Students can come to the Library anytime until 3:15 PM with a pass to return books and check out new ones. We will have iPads this year for sign in, giving a timestamp. The link to the spreadsheet of visitors will be posted here for staff only as soon as it's available. Time stamped classroom passes can printed here.
Book Search - now found as the icon labeled "Destiny" on your WakeID Portal! You may need to add it to your App LIbrary in WakeID. Place a "hold" to have a book held for you. We'll deliver books to you as soon as they're available.
Camera - Checkout our rolling video camera for NBPTS or other classroom filming.
Canvas Crew - We use Canvas as our Learning Management System. Reach out to our crew (Cassidy, Millhoff, Salvador, Young) for one-on-one assistance. Check out our brand elements, school logos and colors to use. If you need tutorials, click here.
Carts in Classrooms - Chromebooks and Laptops for student use. Students can get one out and charge theirs with the provided Chromebook chargers. These chargers should remain in carts with the back locked. Our goal is to not have students bring chargers to school because they are easily lost or damaged.
Chargers Create - links for creations by students to share new knowledge! See your librarians for collaboration!
Chromebook Device eligibility information.
Chromebook Repair - Students should click this link to follow 5 steps to fix the device and if those steps don't work, stop by the library for troubleshooting and a ticket.

Spam Digest - how to send straight to "Deleted Items" folder.
WIFI Login - BYOD students will use the wifi labeled: WCPSS Guest. No login needed, just select. (No passing out Lunenburg Password).
Wifi-virtual.wcpss.net is the address for Guest Wifi to send “connect” message! BYOD students can type in this address if the wifi request doesn’t automatically come up, this happens often on personal (non WCPSS) Chromebooks.
Windows11 - All L380 Laptops will update in fall 2025. Here are directions.
To receive updates and clear issues, plug in and restart laptop. If it's locked up, hold the power down button for 30 seconds.
You should restart your laptop on campus every morning. This means all lights were off, showing that computer was fully shut down. (No restart=No print server.)
Wait until you see the wifi symbol in the bottom right of your screen before logging in, otherwise you won't get into your drives correctly. See the red box below for more details on the wifi.
Microsoft Windows Office 365 - if you get an "unlicensed" error when opening a file, follow these steps. There are two places you might need to sign in with your email address to WakeID and choose Office 365 to confirm your account.
If these tips don't work, you can write a note on top and send the laptop to the library with a student. In the meantime, you can use a student laptop from your cart to use.
OR you can get the serial number and open a help desk ticket from the help button within WakeID. We have a very fast helpdesk team and most issues can be resolved within 24 hours!
When completing the ticket, choose the type of problem from the list, you'll need to be as specific as possible, adding things you've tried in solving.
Serial numbers to enter in the ticket are on the bottom of your laptop. (Something like PF2ZB925)
If you need to install software provided by WCPSS, you can easily do it from your search bar. You might need programs like the VLC Video player for an external hard drive to play DVDs or AVerMedia for a Doc Cam. Or, if Tech Services suggests an update like "Vantage" that might fix your computer. See the diagram below...
1. Search for "Software Center" in your search bar.
2. Look for the icon you need. If it doesn't come up, your program is already installed on your computer OR you're logged in as a student who can't have that program
3. Often, it says "Failed" on the first try. If so, make sure you're on campus, retry it in a place with good wifi. It should eventually work but will take a while.
