Update! (April 25, 2020)

In response to the increased need for easy access to online curriculum for distance learning, we have created a link that will provide a subset of our EasyTech curriculum to students without the need for teachers to assign that content into classes or have students remember login credentials.

In the wake of the recent school closures and preparing for more online learning for students, we have put together a “virtual care package” in the hopes that we can make planning easier for you. We have also built a landing page that you can access here; we’ll be updating it as more resources become available so please bookmark the link and check back regularly.

Many of you have reached out to us in search of engaging, relevant online content for your at-home learners. In addition to the EasyTech digital literacy curriculum that you are already using with your students, Learning.com is now also providing you full access to our coding curriculum - EasyCode Foundations and EasyCode Pillars. The entire coding curriculum has already been added to your accounts and you can begin providing access to your students immediately.

EasyCode Foundations introduces students, typically those in grades 3-8, to coding through a game-based environment where students learn to code by solving coding challenges. Once their coding skills are mastered, students apply them to build their own apps and games. With the help of detailed lesson plans and interactive resources, any teacher can confidently help their students learn the basics of coding, even if they have no prior experience with this subject.

EasyCode Pillars is an interactive curriculum that helps students—typically starting in grade 6—learn key coding principles using Python, an industry-leading programming language. In each lesson, students complete a project through a series of activities that include coding challenges, debugging practice, and quizzes. Each lesson ends with an additional coding exercise in which students create their own project applying the skills learned.

To access the full library of curriculum including instructional videos, please navigate to the Library section in the teacher interface and choose EasyCode Foundations and EasyCode Pillars Python Suite. For a full list of other Learning.com resources to help in the implementation of this curriculum with students, please visit https://support.learning.com/product-resources/easycode/

We have attached a document that includes resources for you and teachers to be shared as needed.
