We love creating joyful moments for students โ whether itโs a birthday, a holiday, or a class celebration. These memories matter.
At the same time, itโs important that our celebrations support โ not interrupt โ the flow of the school day. Our focus remains on your childโs learning, safety, and sense of belonging.
Throughout the year, your childโs class may participate in small celebrations to mark holidays, milestones, or classroom goals. These may include:
Seasonal activities (like Valentineโs Day or fall fun days)
Grade-level events tied to academics or positive behavior (i.e. SOAR Days, which take place on Early Release Days)
Shared snacks or classroom games when permitted
Teachers will communicate celebration plans in advance. When invited to contribute, please follow any guidelines around ingredients, allergies, or classroom needs.
๐๐๐
Please do not send balloons, flowers, or gift deliveries to school โ they cannot be transported on buses and disrupt classroom routines.
We enjoy recognizing birthdays in a simple, school-friendly way.
Families may send in store-bought treats (with clear ingredient labels) to be shared during lunch or snack.
Students with dietary needs are welcome to bring a personal treat alternative.
๐๐๐๐๐
To keep routines smooth and fair for all:
Please do not send decorations or request to decorate student desks.
We are unable to accommodate birthday visits or in-class singing.
Balloons, flowers, fast food, and other deliveries should be saved for home celebrations.
๐๐๐๐๐
We understand that surprising your child with something special feels thoughtful โ especially on birthdays or holidays. However, these surprises (e.g. fast food lunches, candy bouquets, floral and/or balloon deliveries):
Interrupt classroom learning and office operations
Create distractions that affect other students
Pull staff away from their core work of keeping students safe and learning on track
We kindly ask families to celebrate big moments at home and partner with us to keep the school day running smoothly. Your support helps every student feel safe, included, and focused.
