Scheduling a future MS Teams meeting
Within the desktop application version of Outlook, click on the calendar icon in the bottom left corner.
In the calendar screen on the top menu bar, select New Teams Meeting
In the new meeting window, enter the following information:
The body of the email is up to you, however it is recommended that you clarify the carer will need to click the link to “Join Microsoft Teams Meeting” a few minutes before the designated time and to test their mic/camera.
When the carer clicks on the link, their web browser will open asking them to open teams and they will be kept in a virtual lobby until you join and allow them into the conversation.
To join a meeting, click on that particular meeting in your Outlook calendar and then click the "Join Teams Meeting" button found in the top menu bar.
The meeting will now open in Teams for you and you can click "Join Now" to enter the meeting. If the carer has already joined the meeting, you will see a prompt indicating that there is a person waiting in the lobby.
You can allow them into the meeting by pressing "Admit".
