App Instruction Manual
William Carey Christian School will now be using online permission for school events, including sport and subject excursions.
Parents can do this through the WCCS App or on Edumate (previously known as the Carer Portal).
WCCS App
Download the William Carey Christian School app from the App store.
Log in using your Username and password (if you are unaware of your Username and password, please email IT on edumate@wccs.nsw.edu.au
Step 1
SEARCH AND DOWNLOAD
Search for William Carey Christian School on the Apple App Store or Google Play to download the William Carey Christian School app.
Step 2
SIGN IN
Once you have downloaded and opened the app, you will be able to sign in using your William Carey Christian School login (the same as your Edumate login).
Click on button and a popup will appear displaying your appointments and Events.
Click on Events. This will take you to the event details.
Here you will need to read any attachments and or links before you grant permission. You are also able to add notes regarding travel arrangements before you grant permission.

PENDING APPROVAL
To approve events, click on pending approval, this will take you to the various events all your children need permission to.
Click on Events and click on the event you would like to grant permission for. This will take you to the event details
Here you will need to read any attachments and or links before you grant permission.
There might be links within the attachment that you will need to also fill before you grant permission.
You are also able to add notes regarding travel arrangements before you grant permission
Attachments and or links will appear here. A link to other medical requirements will also be in the attachment that you will need to fill separately before you grant permission.
In Notes, parents can make a comment, for example travelling independently.
ALWAYS READ ATTACHMENTS AND FILL IN NOTES BEFORE YOU GRANT PERMISSION
A pop up will show, asking you to confirm the approval/ denial. Click on Yes to confirm or Cancel to go back. Once you click on yes, a confirmation will pop up at the bottom of the screen.
Once the permission is granted, the event can be viewed in Future Events under the To Do button.
FUTURE EVENTS
This will show you the upcoming events for each child in your family only if the permission has been granted.
This will also have a copy of any attachments (such as permission notes) pertaining to the event.

Edumate (Carer) Portal
Open Edumate and login, Select News Feed.
You can either click on the event on the “All” tab or Select To Do and click on the excursion (as shown below).
A popup will appear displaying any event details made available and buttons allowing you to grant or deny permission. Here you will need to read any attachments and or links before you grant permission. You are also able to add notes regarding travel arrangements before you confirm permissions.
The event will turn green or red on the broadcast page depending on whether you have confirmed or denied permission.
You are then able to view the event under Diary and Future Events for more details.
