Organising your G Drive files
This video from the Google team gives some great tips for organising files in Google Drive.
They'll show you how to:
- access shared files and "My Drive"
- create a folder structure
- use stars to create favourites
- use colours to organise folders
- use naming conventions
After watching open your own Google Drive https://drive.google.com/ and use the tips to:
- Create an “Archive” folder and then move old files and folders you are finished with into this folder.
- Create folders to organise documents for each of your current classes.
- Use the “Starred” feature to choose favourites or documents you are currently working on
- Choose some colours for your folders
- Name your documents so you can find them easily later

You can also use your personal device's camera to scan documents you receive in paper format or take photos of other work you complete. Once they are scanned they can be uploaded and organised in your Google Drive.
