General Information

Book Week will be celebrated in Week 1 of Term 4, running from Monday the 13th to Friday the 17th of October.

The theme of this year's Book Week is "Book an Adventure". We are looking forward to a wonderful week of fun and reading!

The following activities will take place during Book Week:

• "Read Around the Classrooms": Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Students will have a surprise teacher visit their classroom after recess to share some stories and activities together.

• Book Fair: the Fair will arrive on Wednesday the 15th of October (Week 1) and will run until Wednesday the 22nd (Week 2). Books, activity packs and stationery items will be available for purchase. Students will be able to view the books on Wednesday and Thursday of Week 1. Purchasing will commence from Friday the 17th of October and will conclude on Wednesday morning of the 22nd.

• Book character parade: Friday the 17th of October (also Grandparent's Day). Students are encouraged to dress up; either in the theme of Book an Adventure or as their favourite book character (rather than TV/movie characters). If you need some ideas for easy and low-fuss costumes, click on the "Costume Ideas" tab.

• Lunchtime activities: the library will offer activities and competitions that celebrate Book Week during lunchtimes in Week 1.
