Literacy Pro

What is Literacy Pro?

In Years 3-6, teachers use a a Reading Tool called Literacy Pro by Scholastic. It is just one tool of many used by teachers in the classroom to help develop reading interest and skills. You may have heard your children use terms such as "Lexile Test" and "Lexile Quiz" or "Lexile Score".

Hopefully, by watching the clip below, most of your questions will be answered. If not, don't hesitate to ask your child's class teacher or a member of the library staff.

Here in the library, we have labelled many of our books with yellow lexile stickers to make selection of books for parents and students easier.

Students will take a Lexile Test once a term during their weekly library lesson . This will give them a Lexile Score.

Once they have a Lexile Score, they can start reading books at their level . After they have read a book, they can take a quiz on the Literacy Pro website.

To log on and get quizzing visit the Scholastic Literacy Pro  website.

If students forget their Literacy Pro Username and Password, they should ask their class teacher or a member of the Library Staff.
