We have just purchased  more of these colourful and informative fiction books about different vehicles.

Each book introduces a different vehicle and the job it can do.

The pictures are bright and engaging and the text is written in verse.

Perfect to read to your toddler, preschooler or Kindergarten child.

Rosie Revere Engineer by  Andrea Beaty

A beautifully-illustrated tale of a girl and her dream to become a great engineer.

She originally was a songwriter for Children's television which shows in the lyric style of her books.

Her most famous books are "The Gruffalo" and "The Gruffalo's Child" which have been performed on stage and read in classrooms all over the world.

DK  (Dorling Kindersly)  Readers Level 1


There is a DK Reader to interest every child at every level, from preschool to grade 4. Level 1 books are great  for children who are just beginning to read. 

These books contain between 400 and 450 words each, and they are 80 percent pictures and 20 percent text .

This is a  great non-fiction  series  by Moira Butterfield. Each book looks at a different animal , giving clues along the way.  The books invite young children to guess what each animal is. Theopen with a simple riddle followed by a series of artworks showing a different part of the animal's body - first the fur, then the nose and so on - until finally the whole animal is revealed. It concludes with a picture of the animal's babies, an illustration of its habitat, a map of its home and a fun quiz. 

The text in these books is simple enough for young readers to read themselves or great to read with  your child too!
