There are no compulsory subjects at Year 13. Most students study 5 subjects (and can study 6 with the approval of the Dean).
Many subjects can be studied for the first time in Year 13. Please note that suitability for any course is at the discretion of the Head of Department. Carefully consider the balance of internal and external assessment, and portfolios as part of your suite of subjects.
All Year 13 courses offer a minimum of 14 Credits, and most are University Entrance (UE) approved..
All Year 13 students at Wellington College will be entered into a minimum of 70 credits across 5 subjects.
If you intend to study at University, you should enrol in a minimum of 4 UE approved courses.
You will choose FIVE or SIX full-year options:

Student can select one English course, but they can choose Media Studies and English

Languages - Chinese, English Language, French, Japanese, German, Samoan, Spanish, Te Reo Māori
Health and Physical Education - Physical Education, Health, Performance Physical Education
Technology - Materials Technology, Design and Visual Communication, Digital Game Development, Digital Technology Science, Coding for Engineering, Construction
Social Sciences - Accounting, Business Studies, Classical Studies, Economics, History, History University, Geography, Politics, Religious Studies
