21-22 College Planning 101 Jrs.

This PowerPoint is for 11th grade students and families. We discuss post-high school plans, how to do a college search and how to find the right school for you! This was presented to parents on Jan. 25th, 2023 .

This Coffee With Counselors was presented on October 28th. We covered the college  application process with parents of seniors with a Q&A at the end to answer any last minute application questions.

Freshman High School 101 Coffee with Counselors Presentation

Presented on November 14th to ninth grade parents/guardians, we introduced the counseling team and went over our roles. We shared resources for students/families and discussed different skills that are essential to succeed.

The Teen Stress & Anxiety: Keeping Calm to Carry On presentation was delivered virtually to parents on Sept. 30th. In this video, we explain the difference between stress and anxiety, discuss how these each manifest in students and talk about options for managing these issues.

High School 101: In this video, we explain the different support staff available at the high school level as well as the role of a counselor, talk about organization and time management, discuss ways to get involved, and review some self-advocacy strategies and how to ask for help. 

Financial Aid 101 - This is a brief overview of financial aid terms and the process of applying for aid at post-secondary institutions including community colleges, 7-year colleges/universities, trade schools and other advanced study programs.
