Morgan was recognized by Senator Ford this past Friday who passed a Senate Resolution in her honor to recognize her accomplishment of being the first high school student nationwide of being accepted to the Simultaneous Membership Program through the U.S. Army ROTC Program which guarantees her commission upon college graduation of a 2nd Lieutenant. Dr. Butts shared that this is the first Senate Resolution that he is aware of recognizing a student in the MSD of Wayne Township Schools! We have a copy of the Senate Resolution on display in the front cabinet outside the office and Morgan's parents and recruiter attended her recognition. She will attend Indiana State University next year and her college expenses are completely covered.
